We’re looking for volunteers to join our most wide-reaching study yet, exploring the benefits of app-based exercise programmes: the Active 10 walking tracker and the Couch to 5K running programme. So if you are about to start the programme and up for taking the benefits a step further, register today to join our study with UCL.

Here's more information from. my enquiry, please see:

About the study:

Our research group is investigating the impact of app-based exercise programmes on the health of individuals undergoing those programmes.

We are aiming to recruit 100 individuals to carry out 3.0 T MRI scans of their hips and spine 1)at the start of the programme (once during the first few weeks) and then 2) after completing the Active 10 exercise programme, to monitor their health condition and any changes on the scans. Also participants will be given exercise motivation and wellbeing questionnaires.

The first MRI scans will take place in July/August 2021 and the next scans will take place in October 2021.

Our study is organised by The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Trust, The London Clinic Charitable Trust, University College London and Public Health England.
