Good morning everybody, apologies for the morbid title, this is actually a positive post. I lost my beautiful sister last year after a terminal cancer diagnosis ripped our worlds apart. I have struggled to live with this huge loss and find a way forward....here’s the positive part....my local swimming pool reopened a few weeks ago and I’ve been swimming 70 lengths 4 times per week. It has transformed my mental health and is beginning to do the same to my body! I work as a mental health practitioner and cannot recommend any exercise that uses bilateral stimulation (both sides of the brain) enough. Walking is another brilliant way to sort your thoughts and manage your emotions. I just wanted to share, because for anyone who is feeling stuck in a dark place, I promise you there’s a way forward...keep trying to find it. Love to all x

I am sorry for the loss of your sister.
So pleased that swimming is working out do well for you. 280 lengths a week is a lot of swimming! Sadly our local pool has yet to reopen, in the meantime I shall try and get into the habit of a daily walk.
Thank you Rainbowskies24, for sharing your experience of coping with loss of your sister. You are a courageous woman. God give you the strength to go through your loss.
Sending gentle hugs... Granni B
