Let’s Walk week 4
I managed a walk yesterday even though I am quite heavy antibiotics. It was nice to get out in The fresh air. We took the train to Shoreditch and then walked back to Elephant and Castle. I would like to say I burned some calories BUT we stopped for lunch which was Mac and cheese that was made with Brie and Parmesan topped with ham hock. OMG best ever mac and cheese. Then as we neared elephant we stopped for gelato, Carmel ice cream with raspberry sorbet. Maybe I should of done the 25km bridge walk that I saw going on to burn all those calories off 😂😂😂.
Now that's what I call lunch, Rfc! I'm going to have to continue with the challenge for longer, because I've been lax. Good intentions and all that! I've still not got into a proper routine and my walking is very hit and miss. I'm off to the dentist today - yesterday it was the chiropractor. I'm hoping to get out this afternoon for at least a ten minute brisk walk!
Oh yes, that lunch was a proper one 😀. It is hard finding a routine, I always think weeks when I have lots of appointments puts me off my routine as well. We will be doing another one after this as well so don’t worry. Good luck at the dentist.
I'm with you Kay. I was good the first while and then the plan went out the window
Big dump of snow here - 30 cm or so but I got out today. Not in the evening mind you, which was my goal, but I'll take half marks for the weather.
Omg runswithdogs, sounds cold and definitely not pleasant! Half marks? Double methinks! When the weather's bad it takes extra effort to get out of the door - at any time of the day. Well done you!
I somehow missed posting last week's walk which was a very bracing walk beside the sea with my dogs. It was a good job I had taken a flask of tea because it was quite chilly even though it was bright and sunny. Certainly not as cold as for @runswithdogs though!
This week I was easily able to meet my 'walk somewhere different' goal because I spent a few days in London where I walked a lot enjoying the sights, not to mention miles of underpasses Lovely weather in London too, still felt like summer.
You are doing so well sunny369, well done! Sounds like you had a fun time in London - glad the weather was kind for you
That sounds a great walk RFC! I've stuck to my challenge of 3 x 5k walks per week, 3 x 20 minutes cycling with the turbo trainer and a 1 hour jive class. I've also just completed the first week of my October challenge to walk 80k during the month. I've done 22.64k so far so I'm on target - whew!
