Thank goodness for walking

Not running at the moment but I've just come back from a gloriously sweaty (NEVER thought I'd enjoy feeling sweaty. Sorry if to much information!) 40 minute walk in our local - sanity saving - small patch of woodland.

Happy walking - wherever (I have countryside envy) and for however long.

Glad you had a good walk, so good for the head. I often just go out with the sole purpose of clearing my head. Hehe the more I have to sort out the faster I walk, I often come back sweaty 😀.

Absolutely. There was a lot to sort (mostly done! Having a social walk with a mate later - should sort the rest...).

I have worked out I walk for three reasons - mood management, weight management (I know it's only a small factor but it keeps me focused) and joint and muscle management (following an rta years ago). Whatever, I couldn't do without it. :-)

I’m with you on the joint and muscle, 20 years ago I rolled my car twice, long before they knew physio is a must after a car accident like that. I have bone spurs on all my major joints. I walk/run and keep walking/running because I have i feeling if I stop I won’t be able to start gain. 😀.

Oh my goodness! 25 years ago I was a passenger in a car that did the same thing (don't like to brag, but we rolled more! Through a dry stone wall, ending up in the middle of a field. Not my finest hour). I asked the doctor about physio and he said not necessary. I so know the feeling that you can't stop...in fact, the times that I've felt better and then stopped because of other pressures I've gone backwards. I'm not running (thiking about restarting c25k and then run/walking) because the recovery time interferes with the twelve hour shifts I now do at work (or is that the other way round?) but I will never stop walking. I intend to live the rest of my life long and healthily and that won't happen if I can't move.

So very true pollyp1 - I only started walking a year ago and it has totally changed my life in the very same areas!

Isn't it amazing how such an apparently simple thing can be so trans-formative?

Sounds like you had a really good time pollyp1 - sweaty is good!

Sweaty is very good!

Haaaa - too true. I'm really happy when I can feel the sweat running down my back - I think we must be sisters!

I'm up for it, lol! I have two sisters - neither of whom understand the joys.

If sweaty is good then POUNDFIT must be good! I created my very own personal tsunami! It's so hard and fast but, I love it 😈

It's so fast and furious pollyp1 but, I go for it. No one cares what you are doing they are too busy concentrating themselves! 😜
