Just keep going, you are losing the weight..the walking should help you out.
Looks like your doing everything right and going in the right direction, stopped smoking and losing weight. OK it would be nice to loose 14lbs on the first week but it's not going to happen, slow and steady is the key
I always look at weight loss as what gain would it of been if I hadent been trying. I lose weight at 1/4 lb a week but over time I have lost over a stone that way and it hasent come back, if I hadent of started I would be two stone heavier than I am now. Gardening is great for getting us moving especially in the lovely sunshine. Welcome to our friendly little forum.
Sounds like really positive changes. It'll add up in no time, and with a slow and steady approach your changes will stick.
Hi there Summersday1030 and welcome to our friendly forum! Well done on making the decision to get fitter and healthier - and you've already started to lose weight as well as stopping smoking! That's awesome!?! The Active 10 programme of 3 brisk 10 minute walks a day has made a huge difference to my life and I'm sure it'll help you to achieve your goals too. Post often - you'll get lots of support and encouragement from our lovely members! Good luck
Thanks will try hard to get the walks in
You'r making progress---- a 1/2 lb a week is great!! It adds up fast. Well done! Keep going! And congrats on quitting smoking !
I quit smoking in January so know where you are coming from. I quit because I broke my ankle and couldn't get out of the house on crutches to smoke ---- so I too put on weight because I couldn't walk far. Just getting back to normal now
