Anyone got plans for the weekend.

We were planning a long hike off road when we saw the forecast at the beginnings of the week but now it is looking like rain right in the middle of our planned walk so may stay a bit more local. Anyone else got any walks planned this weekend?

Hi Rfc - nothing more planned than a walk down to the posh coffee shop! It will be the first decent walk since I did the hill - I've just been doing my brisk 6 minute walks since Tuesday. ;)

Hope you enjoyed your coffee, already up to 6mins that is great.

Always enjoy a coffee Rfc! I don't make coffee often - having to go out to get one motivates me to walk when I'd really like to do nothing!!

Every weekend now I'm doing longer and longer run/walks, usually 2 minutes running, 1 minute walking. But I've had Active 10 in the back of my mind and I'm trying to up my walking pace. Normally I'm a very ploddy walker, so upping the speed of the walks is really, really challenging for me. So tomorrow I will be trying this again.

I’ve always been a break neck speed walker, hehe it comes from trying to keep up with my brother when I was little. How are you walk intervals going? Hope you got out for a good run/walk this weekend.

It's really challenging for me too, runswithdogs - that's why I haven't reached 10 minutes yet! Six is as much as I can do - and that's on its own with no running! You're doing really, really well!

I got the family to Clumber Park at last (have been there a few times without them for Welsh Springer Spaniel gatherings - umpteen red and white spaniels are a glorious sight) At the entrance we were given details about the walk round the lake and thought that was probably more than we wanted to do... but we did it, with a nice stop for coffee (glad I took my own cup) and banana bread about half way. Very enjoyable.

Sounds like a great walk, I bet the secenery was really good too. Coffee and banana cake half way round sounds like the perfect treat. 😀
