I am joining a gym tomorrow and saw this area of the HeathUnlocked site and found it to be perfect for me.
I work from home and so can stay alone not talking to a soul for days which makes me very unsociable I moved a few months ago and now live near a lovely park. I keep thinking I should have a regular walk around it but never get there. Well this is now PERFECT!
I need to lose weight and I need to just get out in the fresh air sometimes so with this and the Weight Loss NHS I think ill do well.
I'm always happy for support and to support others so please say hi and/or follow.

Hi there Babette, welcome to our forum! You have such a positive attitude that I'm sure you'll do well! If you haven't exercised for a while, devise a plan for your walking schedule - something that's realistic for you! Whether it's 10 minutes twice a day or 1 hour 3 times a week doesn't matter! As long as you get out the door! You'll soon have a routine and goals that are achievable. You'll also find that getting out will do wonders for your state of mind - won't be long before you're chatting to the regulars in the park! You'll get encouragement and support from the lovely members of this group and we'll walk with you every step of the way - post often!
When my husband and I moved to a new area, we joined the Rambler's. It has certainly helped me get a lot fitter and has also given us a really good social life.
That park sounds very inviting, and perhaps you'll meet a few other people on a stroll there. My OH also works from home, and the gym has been a great help for him to just get out of the house and see people. Happy walking and keep posting, we're here for you.
