I've done roughly 1.5 to 2 miles outside every day this week but wish I could do more unfortunately my arthritic left foot goes off on one lol. It's very frustrating so I've baught a salsa exercise video and going to try that.....at least I'll have a good laugh trying to do the steps πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Good luck with the salsa, I'm useless at it.I have arthritis coming in my left foot also.I'm currently doing around 15 to 20 thousand steps a day at least.Foot hurts a bit,but I'm keeping going ,not ready to give in to it.lol.

Well done you . Hopefully it will hold out. I've had injection in foot. Really nasty as put through top of foot. They say next is to fuse it but I'm holding on as long as I can πŸ™‚

And today I've just done front garden and now I'm weeding the back one. Tree seeds everywhere. Sweating like a trooper so hope its burning off some calories πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Chrissie I started with 1 mile for a long time and I couldn't do more. Now I can easily walk 5 miles. But I don't do more than that in one stretch. Since I've lost weight my foot is much better. For me it was the combination of getting fitter and weighing less. Good luck. Actually I think you're doing really well.

Hi Ribaka and thanks for the inspiring message. I would love to do 5 mile but this little left foot is having none of it πŸ˜• but though I don't let it win I know the arthritis is bad and unfortunately cant be reversed but hopefully it will be easier with less weight on it. I'm sure it spends the day saying get off me you chubby little person πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Try to walk as far as your foot is okay and do this regularly. For artritis the best medicine is movement not necessarily fitness. Be kind to yourself and your feet. LOL

Yes I learned a long time ago movement is best for arthritis it's just simply bad in left foot. I've had injection through top of foot... as having already had them in knee and shoulder I thought oh that's ok till I had it....most painfull one ever, next move is to fuse it but I keep putting it off hoping if I loose weight it might ease and that's my motivation Keep hoping and keep moving πŸ€—

I get pain in my left foot too, so annoying when you love to walk! Have you tried Leslie Sansome walking videos, there are some free on you tube, I enjoy the 1 mile happy walk, good when the weathers not great too.

They are really nice. I walk 2-3 days a week with her videos. You can get on Dailymotion videos from Leslie as well.
