Post menapause bleeding

Hi .Does anyone know if having a bleed 2 years after they stopped ought to be a concern. Very dark colour. With lighter spots.

Hi Abi,

I'm experiencing the same thing. If it goes on longer than 12 days go see your doctor. I finally went, and he's fast tracking me to have an ultrasound. I'm sure it won't be anything serious, but better be safe than sorry.

Thanks. After much deliberation, I finally got to see my G P today. I'm waiting for am emergency pelvic scan and see a gynaecologist within a week or two he says. Still worrying as I have IBD too.

Hi I have had a biopsy and ultrasound and am just waiting for the results. I have had 2 periods in the last 2 months after not having a period over 2 years. I just dont know what is normal for menopause, it is such an unpleasant time. I hope you get your scan soon..

I also had ultrasound and biopsy and am also waiting for results. Here's hoping both our tests come back negative !

Thank you both of you, I have now had the 'all clear'. I have had no reason for it happening and I just wonder if it happens again, do I have to go through it all again. No-one seems to follow up and give you advice. I think unfortunately we are on our own when it comes to the menopause ....
