Im 46 F. Mild on/off non bothering pain for 2 year's. If it was a serious problem, would it have got worse by now as it hasnt and just comes and goes since then? It's more the not knowing the cause, than the pain that bothers me. It started in the left breast and armpit. (I've put the breast pain down to pre menopause) Left armpit, sometimes feels a tiny bit enlarged (No nymphlodes seen or felt) after 3 months of this, a mammogram ect was fine although I'm sure they said the lymph node was slightly pertruding. I also get mild pain at the side of my upper torso next to left breast and a digging pain, under left inner rib/breast.

🙂It’s reassuring when mammograms are normal.
But..if you have continuous pain, for whatever reason, speak to your GP.
As someone who was diagnosed with 'lumpy' breasts, I know it can be a worry when lumps and pains persist. Do keep going to your GP though. Mine never minded and worked on 'better safe than sorry'.
This may not apply to you, but one thing that definitely helped me was ditching underwired bras. Many of my problems disappeared after this point when I look back.
Good luck with it all. 🙂
Go to YouTube and watch Dr Berry’s video on iodine -called “Iodine: essential or dangerous” He talks about how among other issues - iodine deficiency can cause breast soreness. Sure couldn’t hurt.🤷🏼♀️
(I LOVE Dr Berry’s videos!)
Sounds like chest wall pain to me. I have the same. It flares now and again but I'm able to cope with it. Have a look at costa chondritis and see if it fits with your symptoms. I've had this for years and whilst it's a nuisance, I've learned to live with it
