Iron blood tests results

Does anyone know if this blood result shows low iron? I got my results back and it says normal but looking online it says it’s in the lower range.

I’ve added the results in photo.

Hi! I've had problems with my iron in the past due to my periods being heavy sometimes. I've been on iron on and off over the past couple of years. I don't understand the readings myself but I would make an appointment with your GP and see what they think about it as they might prescribe you iron? I would just check up about it and then you will know whether you need iron or not. Hope that helps you. Xx

It’s in the low normal range and so your doctor will likely advise you to use a supplement or up your iron intake in your diet to replenish your iron stores.

Thanks for your reply. My doctor didn’t advise me to do anything just said test are normal no further action needed. I’ve got symptoms of low iron (hairloss, heart palpitations, always cold) will taking over the counter iron and iron in diet help raise the levels?

Yes. Take vitamin C or vitamin C- rich foods with the iron to increase absorption. And take calcium or calcium rich foods at another time of day, because calcium competes with iron for absorption in the body.
