desogestrel pill and cramping

hello, i take the desogestrel pill for contraception which is the progesterone only pill. I usually take it at around 7-8am and you can take it within a 12 hour window if you forget. I unfortunately couldn’t get my next set of pills until this evening which meant u was unable to take my pill until 6:30pm. I am now experiencing period like cramps and I’m just wondering if this is related to taking my pill late or something else.

Thanks

could be due to taking it later , I would say just keep taking it at your normal time and if the cramps persist I would call your doctor .
