Okay ive had a copper coil fitted 5 days ago and the pain has been really bad to the point ive vomited because of the pain and i have a tempeture im still bleeding even worse now than when it got fitted and the pain is getting worse too. I cant feel the copper but the string is really low. Should i give it a chance and keep it in? Or should i get removed? Do you think its a infection or something? Ive never had pain like this i just turned 18 and im a little alone on this and need help by someone who knows about this

I would call your doctors office. I would think that you shouldn’t have a fever this long after. I have the hormonal iud and didn’t have discomfort for more than a few days after and no fever ever. It worries me when you say the pain is that bad. I would definitely call at the least. Maybe even head to the A&E
Definitely speak to the GP or the clinic where it was done, as it shouldn't be like it is. If it is that bad, I'd be on the safe side and go to A&E instead! Don't leave it! Good luck-come back and tell us how you get on.
I had a copper IUD for years with no issues at all. I would definitely go to your doctor.
I got it taken out the day after i posted this. Still bleeding though i think my body was rejecting it which would be why it was painful and why im still spotting. The nurse at the clinic said there was nothing wrong with it but i dont believe that.
