I was recently in a&e with what my gp thought was appendicitis but turned out to be hemorrhagic cysts on my ovary, has anyone ever had this before, how long did they take to go or was surgery needed,I’m back in 8 weeks for a scan, the doctor said mine is about 3cm in size, I’m also on the pill(azalia) and so haven’t had a period in 18 months, but I’ve read after 2 period cycles it could be gone but I don’t get cycles. The doctor was telling me this is a very busy a&e with a mask on so it was very hard to even hear what she was saying

🙂 There have been previous discussions re ovarian cysts. Type Ovarian Cyst in the searchbox (top right) to see links.
Having a hemorrhagic ovarian cyst is not necessarily a problem. Many times these cysts don't cause symptoms and are often found during a pelvic exam that's done for another reason. If a cyst is small or medium-size and isn't causing you any pain or other symptoms, then your doctor likely will recommend monitoring it.
