Shingles and daughters sports day

Hi all. I took a day off for my daughter's sports day but developed shingles last week (I work in a fairly stressful job and also have endometriosis, have been in a pain flare for the last 4 days). The shingles spots were just on my leg and I've been on antiviral med acyclovir but now I have a spot on my face. Do you think I shouldn't go to sports day? I'm a bit sad about it, but I guess there could be pregnant women there.

The risk of spreading VZV to others is low if you cover the shingles rash. People with shingles cannot spread the virus before their rash blisters appear or after the rash crusts.

People with chickenpox are more likely to spread VZV than people with shingles.

Thanks. The spots have not popped so I've come and am staying away from people. It's outdoors obv. That's really helpful info. Thanks again.
