5 years ago I had a vein cautorised in my left leg. While they were doing the op they damaged a nerve in my upper thigh and ever since I've had a numb patch on my thigh. It's kind of been like when you've been out in the cold and your skin is numb but you can still feel pressure. It's never bothered me so I've never been stressed out about it.
Well some time through the night I had a dream that someone stabbed me with a pitchfork and I've woken up with pain where previously I had numbness. I realise it's just nerve pain and not an injury but I've no idea what to do. I try to avoid painkillers as they tend to make me feel sick, even paracetamol. Anyone got a bright idea about what I should do?

π€ Even after all this time, this could be happening..Or it could be related to Neuropathy
As your nerve recovers, the area the nerve supplies may feel quite unpleasant and tingly. This may be accompanied by an electric shock sensation at the level of the growing nerve fibres; the location of this sensation should move as the nerve heals and grows. Over time, these feelings subside and the area should begin to feel more normal.
