I am looking for a little info. I had been bleeding very heavy with large clots since last August. I have finally seen the doctor who is now sending me for a scan to see what’s going on. I also have to book for a smear as I’m well over due.
Question is - how do you tell if you have fibroids? I have the above heavy bleed and large clots. I have sometimes pain down my thighs and I also suffer cramping in either side of my pelvic areas as well as some heaviness feeling that shoots through to middle of my lower back. But I also sometime feel as though I have a trapped nerve in my left upper shoulder blade which radiates down my arm. Can fibroids cause this to?

Heavy bleeding was the main symptom for me with my fibroids. I also have strange cramps and pulling feelings at times, feel heavy like you say, and when I lie down I need the loo a lot (at night) - turns out one of them is bulging into my bladder.
Ah okay. I’m just sick of the bleeding and sometimes makes me feel sick. But wanted to see if anyone else suffered upper stomach and back problems with them. I’m hoping my scan won’t be to far off. But thanks for your comment.
It could be endometriosis? A friend of mine had stomach and back pain and heavy bleeding with that? I guess there is no definitive answer sadly as we are all different
