Anyone else have Adisons disease

I have Adrenal Insufficiency which is similar but not quite so serious, as I understand it.

Hi it's the same thing. Addisons disease means adrenal insufficiency. Your body stops making steroid ( in your adrenal glands) after taking oral steroids for years your adrenal glands go to sleep. I'm under the Brompton Hospital and that's how they explained it to me.

Hi thanks for your reply, my gp & endocrinologist diagnosed adrenal insufficiency rather than Addisons. They are very close indeed, I don’t remember the exact differences but in any case I follow the same sick day rules etc. Am permanently on 3.5mg pred (so it seems) & have been for 3 years after being on pred since 2011 for Pmr. Take care
