how common is the nausea and vomiting side effect when taking betahistines

title is fairly self explanatory, but anyway - i have really bad dizziness and vertigo and have done for four years now. people think it’s anxiety or an inner ear thing or both - i think it could be a number of things, but that is beside the point right now. i basically have a crippling (no i’m not exaggerating) fear of throwing up/being sick, so when i read that betahistines have side effects including nausea and vomiting and gastric upsets, i freaked out and haven’t even taken one pill yet, despite having the pills for over a month. please, if you have taken betahistines, could you tell me if you experienced any nausea or vomiting? i can’t take this dizziness and vertigo anymore but i also can’t cope with any more nausea than i already have due to anxiety and that which is caused by the dizziness. thank you in advance

Unfortunately it doesn't matter what anyone says about having side effects or not because everyone is different so only way is for you to try the tablets and see how you go, maybe try a very low dose and if ok then increase slowly.Good luck

Hi I suffer bouts of vertigo .. Anxiety, poor posture, inner ear .. combination I think like you. It’s a nuisance to be honest.

I take betahistines too. I have a fear of feeling or being sick. I have never experienced any bad side effect symptoms whilst taking betahistines. I’m absolutely fine, taking it. Have been taking it on and off for years. Just eat something little like a biscuit or cracker when you take it. Line your tummy.

Let me know how you get on.
