So I got some bloods back from the doctor and my iron is 27 and have been put on a liquid form I took the first dose this morning and felt a little dizzy but I have anxiety regarding medication and psychological I feel like I’ll have an allergic reaction.
I know I have to take it again tonight but I’m so scared .
Has anyone taken or taking iron and okay ?
Any side affects etc ? I know everyone is different but I would like to know others experience thanks 😊

I think a lot of people take iron supplements. It’s very commonly given to pregnant women, it’s in a lot of multi vitamins and breakfast cereals.
In the past, taking an iron pill did cause your poo to go black. I have no idea if that’s still the case but perhaps that’s why you’ve been given a liquid form - to avoid black poo!
A lot of people worry about medications and their side-effects. Read the leaflet that came with the meditation. Any serious side effect will be noted there.
But low iron can cause dizziness, tiredness and lots more, so the supplement should be helpful.
I only took liquid iron when I was pregnant - a long time ago. Sorry I can’t be more help.
I have had borderline anemia and taken iron supplements. It is a mineral that is necessary for the body and will in no way harm you if taken at the recommended doses. Be careful to drink more water and eat foods with healthy fivers as in some it can make firmer bowel movements. With low iron you may feel dizziness shortness of breath low blood pressure a metallic dry mouth and tired. Iron is responsible for healthy blood cells so it is needed. No worries and it may take some days to a week to feel back to iron levels and no more dizziness if it works for you.
