Iron tablet

I run out of iron tablets and didn’t take one yesterday and have woke up today with dark brown discharge when I go to the toilet, Is this from the missed tablet?

🤔 I couldn’t find any link to brown discharge, if it continues and doesn’t relate to a period, for peace of mind consult your doctor.

Common side effects may include:

constipation, diarrhea;

nausea, vomiting, heartburn;

loss of appetite; or

black or dark-colored stools or urine.

Thank you , that’s the side effects when you’re taking it but I don’t know about the side effects when you miss a tablet x

🤔 The only mention when missing a tablet..is don’t take an extra one. It’s probably a good idea to ask your doctor.

Hi there, it's unlikely you would have any effects from missing a tablet unless your iron was extremely low, even so I can't think of any reason that would cause brown discharge. Sounds likely period related.
