New on the site with Estrogen Replacement query

Good afternoon

I started estrogen and progesterone replacement therapy 2 months ago along with B12 injections. I have several small brown rectangle shaped Marks on my face come up since starting.

And dark freckles (darker than usual) appearing on my body.

Has anyone any experience of this after starting B12 jabs or EST gel?

Thank you

Jane 😊

πŸ€” These are signs of being vitamin B12 deficient.

Skin lesions associated with vitamin B12 deficiency are skin hyperpigmentation, vitiligo, angular stomatitis, and hair changes. Cutaneous lesions that do not respond to conventional therapy can be an indication of vitamin B12 deficiency. Malabsorption is the most common cause of vitamin B12 deficiency.

Hi Wobblybee

Thanks for your response.

Interestingly , I started B12 injections 6 weeks ago, (SI 3 times weekly). And they came up after I started injecting.

Do you think this coincidence?

πŸ™‚ I think you should ask your GP for an opinion. It could simply be coincidental, or actually have a direct link, so a medical opinion is necessary.
