Why do I keep bleeding every 2 weeks for 2 weeks straight on the mirenna coil??

It could just be how your body is reacting to it! If worried you should always contact your GP as it does however seem a lot of blood to be losing, and there could be another underlying issue that needs checking out.

How long have you had it for, and have you noticed any other symptom changes? Make a note of everything so if you do see your GP then you have other information there.

I myself have the Marina coil but find I bleed very lightly for around 4/5 days at the beginning of every month.

How long have you had the coil, and did the changes start when the coil was fitted, or did they start a little while after?

Hi, I had the coil for 2 years now when I first got it fitted I had spotting which was very light that was for about 7 months straight then I had no period for a while then for 5 months now bleeding every 2 weeks and very heavy, my doctor gave me transmix acid to take which only make me have a period for 9 days instead of 2 weeks

A change like this after you've had the coil fitted for years is more of a concern - did your doctor hint at how long they want you to try the acid before going back for more help?

I forget - is the mirena coil the hormone coil, or a non-hormone one? In your shoes, I'd be wanting some hormone tests and a pelvic exam, but I know that's not as easy to sort right now.

Hi, my doctor never said how long I should take it for, I’m going to wait until everything is over (the virus) then going to make appointment with my GP
