I am 44 and very perimonopausal. I just want to chat to Women in the same boat. My periods are erratic, I am getting bad insomnia, night sweats before period and long spells of PMT. I am hoping that exercise and healthier foods will make a difference. I had 2 kids in my late 30s so really only coming out of all that and making time for myself - especially when it comes to exercise. I enjoy Zumba and other forms of dancing, yoga and pilates, and cycling and walking. But it's finding the motivation that's the problem! Any advice or help or any supportive groups out there?
Thank!

Hello.... I am a bit further in... 3 years into the menopause in fact, but I resonate with what you are saying. For me, the hardest thing was the insomnia and night sweats, as well as feeling a bit crap about myself. My mum recommended I take red clover, which I do, and I also take vitamin D as I was found to be deficient. I have to say that exercise is the best drug ever... I run everyday and do alot of fitness stuff including yoga, and that has helped enormously with the yuckyness of the menopause. I find that making yourself do stuff that you know will help is the key to improving the motivation. I am not sure what groups are out there, but I wish you well on your journey
Hello! I've just come across your post and thought I'd say hello 🖐 as I literally could've written it myself (including the Zumba and dancing!) I'm 43 and beginning to realise that all my weird symptoms could actually be perimenopause. Had some bloods taken yesterday to look at my hormones so I hopefully that will give a clearer picture of what is going on. All these new horrid symptoms can often make you feel like a completely different person....for me, headaches, nausea, extreme bloating, boob agony, nightsweats during/before period, reflux, aching body, heart palpitations, horrendous cramps and lengthy period plus clotting (though this my be due to adenomyosis). And don't get my started on my mood 🤬. I have had so many tests and investigations and been given no answers so far.....Unfortunately I don't have any advice to give as it's all new to me too....but at least we know we're not alone. If you've found anything that helps (particularly natural) please share!
Hope today is a good day for you.....I'm off to do a clubbercise class....in my living room....😂
Did I write this in my sleep?😃🤪 Mom of 4 I am 43 and fitness has saved my life and relationships I swear lol. My advice find your purpose and hobbies and definately get some time alone. Supplements and stimulants combined are helping me especially magnesium and B vitamins with D added in and a multivitamin and CBD oil. I would love to chat anytime. Xo
Try Sage tablets you can get them from Boots if you’re in UK they help with hot flushes/ sweating.
Pharmacist I spoke with had good feedback from customers and it’s natural. You need to try it for a few months if they are on a 3 for 2 deal that’s the time to try!! They are usually a 30 day supply.
