Coming off HRT symptoms

Hi all. I've recently had a lumpectomy for early/pre breast cancer and have had to stop the very low dose HRT that I've been on for a number of years. My hot flushes and insomnia have been hard to deal with - does anyone know how long the symptoms last after finishing HRT?

Thanks

I'm sorry...I'm 71 years old and was still having hot flashes and night sweats....my doctor allowed me to go on HRT, which I know is now not an option for you! You'll get so good advice on here, though..I don't have any for you, but I can relate. I complained about the flashes to my doctor a long time ago, and he asked me: "What makes you think they'll ever stop??" That was discouraging...there should be better options to control these awful symptoms! But...don't let the men go "limp!!!" God forbid!!!! Now they have viagra..ugh...

Thanks for your empathy! My doctor prescribed clonidine to me yesterday, which is sometimes used to treat migraines and hot flushes and doesn't have any hormones, so I'll see how that goes.
