Hysteroscopy

I have a hysteroscopy today without anesthesia and everything in me wants to cancel it I'm so scared. They advised to take pain killers an hour before the appointment. Never had this done before. I regularly have my smears is it similar to that. Any advice would be gratefully received. Thanks

Hope it's over & done with?

Nasty experience, but perhaps worth it for diagnosis purposes.

Thank you for taking the time to reply. It wasn't pleasant but better than my mind imagined it to be. Glad it's done. They found fibroids so was worth it. Worse bit was the biopsies just have to wait for the results now x

You're welcome!

The wait is horrible, so hoping your results are back soon & are all negative!

this always annoys me because there are proper gyne pain killers like postan (meflic acid) that would of made a big difference or there is iv sedation i understand that GA is not what many women want but the fact there are other options that they do not tell you about was this under nhs?
