Hysteroscopy & Balloon Catheter

Hello!

In August 2015 I had a uterine septum resection performed by hysteroscopy. It was a complete septum but I bled a lot due to thickened lining so it was hard to see if they got it all out. Then in February 2018 I had a miscarriage, upon further scans after this they discovered I had uterine polyps in the lower left side of my uterus, as well as still a bit of the septum left. 5 days ago I had my second hysteroscopy done to remove the polyps and the remainder of the septum. They placed a balloon catheter in my uterus where it has to stay for a week, and it has been bothering me a lot. I had this balloon placed before during my surgery in 2015 with no problems. But since this one has been in, it constantly feels like it is slipping out. I have spoken to doctors about it, and they say it is fine, to just keep pushing it back up. It is only a problem if I have really heavy bleeding.

Now, these past 2ish days I have had bleeding like a period. My menstrual cycle is roughly due in 2 days (The day I get the catheter removed). I am unsure if this bleeding I am having is maybe just an early period, or a complication from the catheter or surgery. I was wondering if anybody has any insight on what they think? I am wondering if bleeding like a period is normal 5 days after an operative hysteroscopy.

I am worried I will not be able to get the balloon removed if I am still bleeding.

I don't know anything about the balloon part but I just had a hysteroscopy on Friday and was told to expect bleeding for at least two weeks
