Is it normal to have incontinence and what feels like frequent urination needs five days after a catheter has been removed?

🤔 Incontinence - Patients may experience continence problems immediately after catheter removal; these may settle within a few days or take longer, depending on how long the catheter has been in situ. Your GP would be able to advise if problems continue.

Hi Nicky. I had a catheter in for a few weeks in hospital and when it was removed I couldn't control my bladder for about a week and had to wear pads in the hospital then when I went home I had to use the lighter daily pads for little leakages for a few months but I am fine now. 😊
