On the fourth sugar pill of BC and still no period.

Today I am going to be taking the fourth sugar pill in the fourth week of my birth control. I have not missed a single pill and taken all at about 9:00 every night. My boyfriend has used a condom every time we have had sex except for twice this past weekend. I took two pregnancy tests today and both came back negative. I have severe anxiety and this is just pushing me right over the edge. Any help/advice/reassurance would be so much appreciated.

Stress and anxiety often cause your period to be irregular. I skipped my period for 4 months from stress alone. Not to say that their could be other reasons for you skipping your period but it could very well be from stress! Take care of yourself ❤️

Thank you, I do have a lot going on. My grandmother passed away, my mother has cancer, I’m waiting for a procedure to determine the cause of my severe acid reflux, I started my doctorate degree this week, and my classroom was moved so I’m worried about getting everything unpacked and ready for my first graders. I do not deal with stress very well and after writing it all out, I suppose I have quite a bit of it right now. Thank you again ❤️

Yes, I agree... I skipped my period last month due to stress

Thank you ladies. I ended up getting my period the morning of the 5th sugar pill and she certainly came roaring in! After doing a lot of reading research, I think it’s a combo of my stress leveling and being on a very high dose pill. I need to remember this for next month! I hope you are both doing well with your anxiety and stress.
