Hi new to community. I have so much going on at the moment – neck swelling, heavy periods, cysts on ovaries (ultrasound found string of cysts in one ovary - GP says polycystic ovary syndrome), headaches, tiredness, uncontrollable weight gain, hair on face, depression, hair loss, eyebrow loss, cold all the time. Advice appreciated thank you

Hi Sara
Only just seen your post.
Have you ever have Thyroid Function blood tests?
I ask because you have the symptoms of an Underactive Thyroid (Hypothyroidism ).
ALSO - Hypothyroidism can cause Polycystic Ovary Syndrome .
Please ask your GP for an urgent referal to an Endocrinologist AND/OR ask him/her for the following blood tests URGENTLY :
Thyroid Antibodies -
TPO and Tg (Thyroid Peroxidase and Thyroglobulin )
Free T3 and Free T4
T3 and T4
TSH
Also ask for tests to check nutrients levels of :
Vitamin D
B12
Folate
Ferritin
Calcium
It is very important that you insist on TPO and Tg tests ( you may not get both). Because Hashimoto's Autoimmune Thyroiditis is the cause of Hypothyroidism in most cases. But - with Hashimoto's - regular Thyroid function blood tests fluctuate. So Antibodies more reliable and therefore necessary tests.
Ask for a print out of all your blood tests results.
If Antibodies raised then you have Hashimoto's .
Hope your GP agrees to tests straight away and refers you to Endocrinologist.
You may also need to have tests to check your Adrenals. x🐥
