Sickle Cell Anemia/Kidney Information...

Hello, I would like to know if I was to get a kidney transplant could my new kidney become affected by protein in the kidney and a continuation of protein in my urine? This is what I've been struggling with every since I was a kid. I was told that due to having sickle cell anemia it has caused damage to my kidneys. Doctors are telling me I'm in the end stage of Kidney failure and I may need to start dialysis soon until I can get a kidney transplant.

Respectfully,

K.
