Had unprotected sex with my husband 3 months ago-took idoz 72 within 48 hrs-the periods were right on time for the next two months-this is the third month and my period is late by 3 weeks-is it the side effect of EC or am i pregnant?

Hi. I'm sure you cannot be pregnant in these circumstances. I'm for this is the side effect of EC. Moreover your period was right in time for two months. No embryo may survive in such conditions. And these 3 weeks you're late look like some hormonal change your body is undergoing. You'd better see your doc and ask him what the matter is. I think a scan will be also required. No pregnancy, probably some another health issue.

Good luck!

I'm not sure what EC stands for, so i'm only answering half your question! I think it is worth taking a test to put your mind at ease though.

The morning after pill doesn't work every time, and there is always a chance your normal contraception could have failed since then (condoms only work 99% of the time). A test isn't that expensive and will put your mind at rest.
