I'm in my early 20s, and I had my period last week, but it only lasted 2 days. It was very thick and dark in colour. But I am quite concerned with the length of it. Is this something to worry about?

Short period
Hello elli,
Periods can be reflective of a woman's general health and any differences felt could indicate an underlying problem.
However we are temperamental creatures and our bodies do strange things sometimes for no fathomable reason.
I have had periods varying in duration, amount and colour over the years so one different period would not concern me.
However if they continue to be different or feel more painful, it is probably time to seek medical help.
Hope things improve for you.
elli,
I have just read your previous post about a high TSH level.
Thyroid issues would most definitely have a huge impact on your periods. It would be wise to investigate any thyroid problem first and your periods would probably sort themselves out.
Brilliant! Thanks for the reply! It is probably nothing at all, but you know how you can get!
Yes, and you have every reason to after what you explained happened in your previous post.
I am very sad for you elli and would advise you to get your thyroid well.
Thyroid issues can do untold damage that doctors do not always recognise.
Ask lots of questions, read lots of books and get that thyroid working better.
Sending positive thoughts, Flower007.
