This week B M I 29.46 , weight loss 3 pounds , now in he overweight category , I have been to the gym and can now run at 5 minute intervals ,so quite pleased with myself , feeling a bit lighter , keep on keeping on ,good luck to all , and thanks for the encouragement .

thanks Olsbean , I have had a look at the C25k running plan , I have to say I am doing my exercising haphazardly , only the second time in the gym I do prefer swimming to running all though the 5 mins intervals meant I ran 18 mins in one session ,I was surprised . yep been unfit for a long time ,I am off to the marathon today to watch I always find it inspiring so who knows maybe one day , I had a look at photos and read profile what a difference you have done it, thanks for the comment , and good luck
I honestly can not praise the C25K program enough and I urge anyone serious about getting to fit to give it go, it's truly phenomenal. If you can commit the time (about 3 lots of 30mins (ish) per week) then it will reward you. I ran a massive 14.15km on Friday, running for 1 hour 20 minutes non stop, not the fastest I know but, to go, in just 12 weeks from someone who could barely run for more than 90 seconds without a break speaks volumes about the Plan!
