I have just found this site while searching NHS Choices for treatment ideas for a strained Achilles Tendon. Running up a 100m sand dune with the children has taken its toll when carrying too much excess weight. When I say running.....? With the help of this site, I have discovered that I have a BMI of over 35 and that cannot be helping my BP (I have just had my medication dosage upped by my GP) So, what am I waiting for, I will be joining the Monday Weigh In with immediate effect. I will keep reading this site tonight and will take any advise starting such a mamouth task can be aided by. I will walk (well limp at the moment) and stick to 1400 cals a day, drink water and look forward to Monday Weigh in next week. Fingers crossed and good luck to anyone else reading this.
I just lost 2lb so now 10.9 thats 5lb all together ...slow but sure and I havent needed to cut out friends or dramatically change my life style ...Great ! Im gonna keep trying
