Morning,

Perhaps not what you're looking for but myfitnesspal.com is a good diary. It provides calories for the majority of what you eat and you can set it up to have the number of meals/snacks you have. Also starts to save your favourite/most used foods. The downside is logging on to use it. The app is much quicker.

Simplest diary I've used over the years is a piece of lined paper. Either draw out a table with dates down the side and breakfast, lunch, dinner/tea, snacks along the top or simply write the date in the margin and just record what you eat that day as you go. Downside to this method is if you don't know the amount of calories you have to look them up.

Hope this helps.

Happy healthy eating!

I can recommend a very good food diary that I use from amazon.co.uk called "Diet Minder - Personal Food & Fitness Journal" (by a company called MemoryMinder Journals). It is a bit pricey (just under £10), but it covers three months worth of daily food (and exercise) entries, and I have found it to be worth every penny. It's a spiral-bound notebook A5 in size, so it fits in my bag with no problems, and the sections to complete are large enough so I don't have to squeeze in my daily entries. There are A-Z sheets at the back for you to make a note of the calories of regularly eaten foods, for quick reference. There are also sections at the front for you to include before/after photos of yourself, if you choose to do so.

Not what you're looking for?
