I would like to loose about 11/2 stone. I am vegetarian,I have thyroid and liver issues,I had my gall bladder out but still have stones so they must be in the liver. I don't drink so the stored glucose must be from food. I have given up eating bread but I am struggling with what to eat.

Hi beaton

I'd biggest asking your GP for advice and looking at the NHS healthy eating pages on the net.If bread/gluten are a problem there are quite a few gluten free products in the shops now or you could try rice cakes. Go for low fat whole foods as close to their natural state as possible and eat lots of veg, especially leafy greens as they support liver function. There's lots of help and support here, too, so keep checking in. Good luck!
