Hi maisie40,

Different folks here are doing different things, but mostly following the 12 week plan on

the NHS live well lose weight pages.

There's lots of other good stuff there as well - advice and tips about weight loss, exercise, nutrition, diet, etc ...oh, and a Body Mass Index calculator, which is a good place to start.

Also there's lots of information, tips and personal experiences on these blogs here.

Have a good read around, find out your BMI, make a decision as to how much weight you're going to lose.

Then, make a commitment to yourself, your body, your health and wellbeing and .... jump on the weight loss bus!

If you have any prevailing medical issues, you are well advised to talk with your GP or nurse as to how that might impinge upon a weight loss regime, and vice versa. For example, there may be particular foods to include or avoid, or other considerations to take into consideration.

Good luck.
