Years of dieting I've even given up on wanting to lose all the weight, just any would help. Don't think menopause has helped. But have decided to try again and see but not be too hard on myself.

Hi Lovelycheeks and welcome to our forum.. You've come to the right place to feel at home lol Many of our members, including myself have been where you are but with the support and friendship here, we've managed to turn things around. Don't look at it as dieting but as a new eating habit that will be with you for life.

You need to find something that suits you so that it will be easy to stick with. You could try the NHS 12 week programme which has been a popular starting point if not kept up along the full journey. A quick search on the internet and you'll find it and can download the app and get going straight away.

Here on the forum, we have several threads under Pinned Posts to help you on your way and to get to know our members. Here's a link so you can use it over and over again until you get used to how the forum works. Read and follow the instructions in the Newbies Welcome post first :-)

We highly recommend that you join in with the Weekly Weigh In and Daily Diary as a minimum. This is where you'll get the most support. There are also once for reading, exercise and special challenges. We have one starting tomorrow - Countdown to Christmas that would be a great way to get stuck in and make lots of friends.

Wishing you a successful journey. If you get stuck just shout out, there's always someone her through the day :-) xx

Maybe you could try cutting out refined sugar except on special occasions. After a couple of days with out the sugar the cravings seem to stop I have found. You are right not to want to be hard on yourself.

Hi lovelycheeks, I'm here again too 😁 I'm trying to focus on improving my healthy habits so I don't get disheartened by lack of weight loss. Have you read Atomic Habits? It's really good for helping you to make small logical changes to help you on your way, I recommend it
