I've been trying unsuccessfully for the last few days to post this message (below). The post part is grey (not active). What am I doing wrong?

Thanks for your post, tidirhin2548. Thanks for your words of wisdom. What the scales showed me is disappointing but I'm in this for the long haul

Start weight - 84.3

Last week's weight (or date of last weigh-in) - 84.3

Weight today - 84.6

Loss/Gain/STS - +0.3

Total loss - +0.3

I've done a fitness session at the Sports Centre or have been swimming every day since I checked in last week. According to the fitness monitor I've burnt loads of calories at the sessions. My weight has fluctuated on the scales a lot this week. I am a volunteer usher at the theatre and this week I made sure not to be on ice cream selling duty (as we are allowed a free ice cream afterwards and I knew I would not be able to resist the temptation - particularly blackcurrant flavour). So I have not eaten any sweet things all week (even though I have a sweet tooth). (I did a good job of selling programmes for the show, instead - much better for the waist line!) Clearly, I need to eat less. I'll carry on with my efforts and hope to report some progress next week.

Hi and welcome. I guess you’re trying to post on the weigh in thread and I can’t help you with that but as a seasoned ’dieter’ for want of a better word, I would definitel advise you to stop weighing every day - everyones weight will fluctuate daily so I suggest pick one day, same time every week, to weigh and stay off the scales in between. I don’t know what plan you’re following but I think the key word there is PLAN ! Lots of options out there but it seems most people do better if they get organised foodwise. While activity is great, what you eat is more important than your excercise if you want to lose weight. This forum is great for support and works best if you join in with challenges and supporting others - I’m sure an admin will be along soon to show you around and help with your posting probem.

Hi DeterminedD, the only thing I can think of is that you're replying to our host tidirhin2548 but on the weigh in Part 1. This is now closed because Part 2 is open. :)
