Hello! Looking for some like minded bodies looking for change. I have yo-yo'ed for far too long. I started 192, lost 20 and gained 7, back at 173. I found some balanced eating that works for me. Also, I found a furry friend to keep me active! He is an 8 month golden doodle schnauzer who is full of life, and loves to keep me moving. I do struggle with life food and fitness, but I do okay once I find my groove. However, my journey has felt quite isolating, so I really am looking to bond with some others to share journeys. I am a mom of 3 and full time employee. Trying to fit it all in while allowing time for fun and focus is the dream. Looking forward to meeting some like minded folks to keep going!

Hi LuvlyGal andwelcome to this amazing forum. I suggest you spend some time clicking about to find your way around. It's easier if you have a lap-top as there are several threads.

Have a good read of the pinned post “Welcome Newbies” and follow every thread.

I strongly suggest you read and contribute to the Daily Diary and participate in a Weekly Weigh in.

You will find there's loads of tips about better eating, from other members. Sharing your daily menu not only helps you stay committed, it can help other members too.

Good luck I hope to "see " you around.

Walking such a lovely dog around on a regular basis attracts people . A general group is better for me not just one that totally focuses on food and exercise . I joined a casual walking group and enjoy Zumba where people are exercising but they don't always talk about it . There is so much more to people than their size . My weight yo yos from day to day and sometimes I don't know . You shedding 20lb is an achievement but trying to keep it off is another ball game if you have family too . I started running but hated it . I ran a 10k in just under 1.5 hours a few months ago but my feet were shredded and the pleasure was zero so find something you like . Some things for me are a tick off a bucket list . I am 63 now . My 5 sons are grown up but I want to stay healthy for them . You are right it can be an isolating time but don't forget your friends . True friends won't mind if you go out and just have a main course or ditch the sweet something over a coffee.

Not what you're looking for?
