hi I've been on here for some time and not taken the first step to gain control....I've read loads and know what needs to be done but not put into practice. I've been trying to retire gracefully from my work as a podiatrist, the transition has been difficult. I'm coming up to my 69th birthday and my goal is to be at goal for my 70th September 2023 . A new chapter for me ...new start....for accountability my weight is 15 stone and goal weight 11 stone. I think a low carb food plan with intermittent fasting may suit me. I'm preparing for the week ahead my head is in the right place so I feel motivated. Just want to add a good luck wish to everyone have a great week.......Vivienne

Just like starting in the world of work, unravelling from it can be a drawn out, and daunting, process. Having a plan is a great start, and keeping it flexible is important too.
A few things may have changed since yo were last on the forum, in terms of how the groups run, but the excellent support remains the same.
There are some great groups that you might want to be active in, such as the Weigh In (speaks for itself), and the Daily Diary, where we share our menus for the day, and where you can find other members following a similar plan to yourself that you can share ideas with. Sharing definitely helps with accountability for me, and I'm sure it's the same for lots of members, but more than that it's the great support that keeps me going on my journey.
