I am 52 after a hearty walk in the morning if I continue doing much standing and walking work my calf aches then I must rest in bed for long.
One solution is high intensity interval training. One doesn't get tired after doing it and I have found it time and energy saving. But its not for everyone. True for me too because I have small fibroids in my uterus which start spotting. I better avoid it.
I would appreciate any solutions for after exercise pains and tiredness?

I always crave a massage when I have some muscle aches and pains :)I do think that how we react to various activities depends on a lot on different factors: what we eat, how we sleep, what we like to do and what our body is better able to cope with... To me everything seems like puzzle pieces...
A post office worker, who would walk miles every day, told me hot bath every day he walked helped. For me, before I had the accident and walked 30 miles a week, I found that as I spaced it out 10 miles 3 x a week, the middle days would feel bad but as I made it part of my routine, this was no longer an issue with leg pain. Maybe you are doing too much too soon? Could you go back to doing less and seeing what happens to the calf pain ?
I am already walking little. I do it 15 min at the most. Problem is then the day starts and I have get ready and stand and do a lot of things sometimes for hours. Then I must go to bed and rest for at least 1/2 an hour. A perimenopausal woman has 1/2 the energy as compared to young women according to some studies. I don't want to miss the morning walk because I really enjoy it and it also relieves stress another cause for obesity.
I can understand that you don't want to give up your walk. Could you do a shorter walk and build things up maybe? Having extra weight makes things harder and my daughter is under physio for her knee due to pain in it. Her walking is not good at all. I wonder if you could ask for a physio referral to help in your situation ?
I haven't been able to do a lot outside of the at home in - the - chair exercises that don't require use of the hip joints. Btw, Big XXX to the members who recomended suuch & provided links to those resource materials. They really made a difference. Maybe those links can help you LG.
Yeah! I've been looking for them, but I just bought a new phone & am having trouble finding that old post. I think moreless, or one of the other admins sent it. But, I will keep trying.
