I have been thinking on and off all day about STS in terms of what it literally means and what it 'means' (ie you're slightly off track but mainly doing ok) and the effect it has on us.
To me, today, I was expecting fully to step on the scales and have lost a pound. But then I thought about it and there was an incident....so i am not powerless (good) cos I can account (that word I love again) for it .
So all is not lost though it feels like it momentarily and it may even re-motivate us. It can be that STS is in fact a good thing. Think of that.
How awesome. Losing weight is awesome. What a journey. What a feeling. STS can be a good thing!!!!!!!!!!!!
Love from your good friend,

Hi Babette22 . Well done for stsI’m glad you mentioned about going off track as at the moment I’m doing just that and have been for a couple of weeks . I’m exercising as I go to Zumba and aquafit every week and have a physical job , but can’t seem to focus on everything at once
You're in excellent company babette22 as I'm a STS for the second week running. The latest is due (I think), to a night out on Friday where lots of dancing took place, but , as it was a Cuban bar, so did a lot of rum drinking 🤷♀️I'm on the downward trend though, so I'm not fretting as these opportunities to let my hair down are few and far between.
Loving the positive attitude - STS weight does not mean you haven't made some progress in the week - it could be 'CFALL' (clothes fit a little looser) or ' EBF ' ( eating better food ) or even ( havent put any more on even when I had a couple of bad days )
I do tend to equate STS with a failure. I need to rethink that. I know I will likely be an STS next week, but will try to look on it as a positive thing.
I agree. I have been really disappointed in myself because I haven't been losing weight. Yet, my clothes are still looser, and I know what my triggers are so I can work on them.
