Yesterday I conquered my fear of the gym!! Joined with my son, dusted off the trainers and braved it.
Not at all what I thought it would be, went early (hoping to beat the crowds) and it was quiet, everyone left us alone, and not everyone was beautiful and slim.
Managed 15 mins on the bike and 15 mins rowing. Also had a go on a leg weights thing....not sure about that.
For the rest the day I felt more energetic so hopefully the little I did will have made a difference.
Think I'm going to add a minute each week (going to go three times a week) so will gradually increase without noticing!!
today is a walk day with the dogs (plus shopping so carrying heavy bags)
All have a good day π

Yeah Matilda48, Good to hear you made the gym it is something I have never done like you say you think it is full of skinny Minnie's and am probably totally wrong. My son and his girlfriend have started going, he spent the whole of one of the euro football matches riding the bike whilst watching it and did 28 miles. I think I will plod on my little old treadmill till I feel confident to go knowing me I would probably end up in traction or something. Still good on you, enjoy your new found activity.π΄ππ
Well done for going to gym, I go 3 times a week and don't like to miss it .Its all men at mine or young boys even but it doesn't bother me ,I do wonder what they must think about this overweight middle aged women working the weights .Probably fun .I know my 22 year old thinks I'm totally mental , Oh but he's only just realised that since become an adult , I have always been that way. Life is for living !!!!
I love that π I did wonder what the people at mine wondered about this middle aged pink (actually rather red) faced woman was doing rolling around getting off the rowing machine - well I can only get better π
Take care and thanks for your message x
Yay you made it! Increasing by 1 min each time is genius. Will you have some kind of stopwatch telling you when your time is up? Lots of luck
All the machines have a digital display so you can enter time - then watch your minutes decrease. Also tells you how far you've gone, speed, calories and heart rate!!!
That's a brilliant start!! My first time on an exercise bike I only managed 3 1/2 minutes!!! Lol π Even now I struggle at more than 15 minutes, so well done! Hope you had a sauna of at least a lovely relaxing bath after π
