My broken shoulder

2 weeks ago I broke my shoulder, 15 months after breaking my other one, during which time I gained over a stone in weight. Before I broke this shoulder I had started on an eating and exercise plan that suited my lifestyle. But now I could stick to the eating plan but exercise is a no no. I can walk but it has to be slow but that's about all at the moment, because any fast bodily movements affect my shoulder. I am lucky to have a husband who is willing to look after me. I now I am wondering if there are any way to start loosing weight without exercise. As I get better I can start adding exercises

As always we find that participation is the key to success. The Daily Diary and the weekly Weigh In are very good places to begin.

May I suggest that you set yourself smaller goals 1-2 lbs a week is far more achievable than looking at losing a whole stone which is only 14 lbs after all.

I can't exercise enough to make it count on the weight loss side, I can only do shortish dog walks and stretching which definitely doesn't burn anything. I changed my way of eating and follow a low carb+ healthy fats way of life. I've lost 10 Kg (approx a stone and a half) Here's a link which may help you ocus more on what you're eating than how much.

Welcome back and it's good to hear you're being well looked after.

Exercise/activity has so many benefits but it's what and how we eat that plays a much bigger part in weight loss/gain. Here's a simple plan you might enjoy, just real food, home cooked phcuk.org/wp-content/upload...
