Following a recent move I no longer have access to sitting scales (transfer from wheelchair) so I need another way of measuring weight loss until I get the opportunity. For now I am going for waist size. Originally I was 36" but peaked at 42". So I am happy to report I am now 41" and aiming for 40" or below by month end..

Yayy ! Great result, good on ya! x
Well done on the loss so far. May I recommend adding another couple of measurements if they are ok for you to do? Adding in say your chest, neck and/or wrists might be helpful as the waist measurement might not always move but one of the others might. I found that out when a necklace I regularly wore was not looking right with some necklines, turned out I’d lost cms from my neck! Best wishes for continued losses.
I actually had to get a new watch as my old one was to small and I had lost the spare links (fixed not expanding) three decades ago!
I hope you still have your old one, you might be using that one as well soon!
Indeed I do as I have had it for approaching half-a-lifetime. It should fit again later this year. The new one is frustrating in some lights as reflections make it unreadable!
I tried it today and although I can now close the clasp it was too tight to wear. So getting there...
Excellent news! You’ll soon be spoilt for choice as to which one to wear😀.
Hi I do weigh myself but I measure my waist too. being a lady of a certain age most of my fat was around my waist. Its not a good look. So I wanted my waist back. I have lost 16 cms off my waist which is more than half a ruler. In weight it is one and a half stone. I've still got plenty of fat there to go at though. I think waist size is a brilliant alternative to weighing. I think its the diabetic soc that advise that your waist should be at least half the size of your height to be healthy. Good luck.
That sounds a good way of assessing your weight loss. Well done for thinking of it. I find my belt is a good indicator of how I am doing. I was up to the fifth notch but am now back to 4 after Christmas!
