Hello, be aware that diet is more important than excercise, do what you can excercise wise, maybe arm excercises, whatever you feel you can do

Don't let the lack of exercise dishearten you or make you think you cannot succeed. I lost 4 stones with very little exercise. I then exercised and didn't notice any greater weight loss although much fitter. Due to back problems I've now not done anything other than some walking for over 6 weeks but still loosing weight.
Concentrate on the diet and you can still lose significantly. Excercise is only quite a small part of weight loss.
Hi Jan I am disabled too and after going to the gym for a month ended up with severe wrist and other joint issues so had to just work on my diet. I found if I took a salad with everything I ate it helped with my appetite and bags of apple slices for snacks. On a positive side the change really helped with acid reflux my medication gives me and I have just recently reached a loss of two stones although still going. I really wish you luck and this forum is great for support and others keeping you going as I had a few times where I was stuck. Best wishes
Firstly well done, what u said is a great idea, I love salad and love fruit so instead of snacking on crisps and choc, I will cut up fruit and replace it instead of sweets, once I get confidence I will start swimming as its less impact for the joints but great excerxise, this site has given me gteat support and I only joined yesterday, keep up ur brilliant work and thank u
Hi there welcome to the 12 week plan. Don't worry about exercise if it's just too difficult. It's what you put in your mouth that counts. Calculate your calories and stick to it. Moving less means you have to be more careful not To go over your allowance. Have you calculated your bmi and calorie allowance. Ltd of support here. I'm quite new too and love it.
Thank u I will check up on that I done bmi but not calories, I will be careful, what I put in my mouth, need all the support and ideas I can get.
May sound stupid but relax in a safe place and picture yourself excercising. Start with a warm up and finish with a cool down. Do this everyday for 15 minutes.
Can you stand? Even if you have to hold on to something and stand up for 5 minutes.
