Has anyone had an AV node ablation? I have had 3 ablations. Af for 25 years off and on but since reaching 60 I have 2 episodes a week on average, lasting 24hrs plus. I am 65 now and af getting worse. I dont drink caffeine, alcohol, I have a very healthy diet of fish, veg , low carb. Do yoga. It's getting me down now as I find I am limited on what I can do exercise wise. Some days I cant walk my dog

My cardiologist says an AV node ablation might be the way forward. I dont tolerate the usual drugs well but am on Apixaban with no problems. Any advice or help would be appreciated. Thank you and keep well.

Hello Adalaide2020, you've posted on the weigh loss support forum so we're not the best place for you to look for contacts on this. You could try the British Heart Foundation forum healthunlocked.com/bhf/about
