This is my first post, I’ve been dipping in and out just reading for awhile.
I had a baby last year, now a mum to 3 girls 🙈 we have older step children too and a busy family life. I’m really struggling to be consistent. Six months after my 2nd baby I went to the gym ate consistently well and lost 3 stone. This time around I’m struggling to stay on track and everything keeps derailing me and I have no energy at all and just feel exhausted all the time.
Last time I counted calories using MFP and had a personal trainer. I can’t afford a trainer this time but I know how to lose the weight, have goals to aim for, know I’ll get more energy by being healthy but I just can’t seem to get the ball rolling and find a routine and be consistent. I feel miserable being overweight, unattractive, dreading the summer and seeing everyone showing off their bodies. Any support would be appreciated!

I would just shut the door to the house and the housework . I had 5 boys under 11 and once I was in - I was in all day . It is difficult with children but now the weather is better I would try and leave the house where there is food and temptation . I ate more in the house as I knew it was there . I was shattered as I was constantly cleaning , trying to find activities which then needed putting away . Pack a picnic which can be slightly different for you . Have a good walk, break the journey with a park in mind . Group classes are getting going again so if you can make that time once a week to go to one without the children . I like Zumba as it is for all ages and ability . I haven't found one that isn't welcoming . Plan your meals and only shop for what you need . Children will eat fruit which you could all share chopped up . Try lighter popcorn instead of crisps for them if you do buy these snacks then if you do fancy a handful you are eating lighter .I hid behind - I buy these for the kids ...

I am a registered nurse and baccalaureate student. I am here to learn more about patient experiences and their challenges with weight loss. Is there any resources any your community such as a recreation center? These centers typically offer exercise programs.
